One of the most recognizable signs of spring in the DC Metro region is the blossoming of the cherry trees. For three weeks, the city celebrates the arrival of the blooms during the National Cherry Blossom Festival, packed with outdoor events, art exhibitions, swanky galas and cocktail hours, and immersive experiences in Japanese culture. One event not to miss is the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. The parade has a huge draw and runs the length of Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Streets. Filled with colorful balloons, floats, music and blossom inspired costumes, the event is a grand spectacle of Spring in the District.

What to wear to this floral-filled festival? How about this season-appropriate, feminine dress from Voom by Joy Hahn. The Josie Bell Sleeve Dress boasts a beautiful blossom print and flirty bohemian bell sleeves. We've complimented the lace detailing in the sleeves with a few intricate silver accessories: the Evil Eye Necklace and Sgt. Pepper Cuff Made from a vintage Victorian faceted steel shoe buckle by Vanessa Mooney. This look can be warmed up with black tights and boots should the weather turn chilly or worn solo with espadrilles and chic sunnies for those early spring heat waves. This outfit is a must for Undeniable Fashionistas who strive to strike a balance between fashionable and fun.

For this event, you'll need a look that is sensible for walking the bustling streets, but certainly not ordinary for such a lively afternoon. Our UB stylists created this fabulous casual-chic look which is sure to fit the bill. We paired a striking sleeveless tunic dress over white skinny denim. The combo is unique, colorful and easy. The bold blue pattern of the dress adds punch and the tie-waist defines your figure. Sexy slim denim accentuates the best assets of your legs without adding bulk. Add a few choice accessories and sandals or ballet flats and you're set for a spring afternoon  perusing vendors and sampling the sites of Japan in DC.
